Kyneton Secondary College unveils refurbished science facilities

On Wednesday, 27 August 2014 veski's programs and events coordinator Ms Alexis Andrew attended the opening of Kyneton Secondary College's refurbished science facilities.
The Hon Martin Dixon MP, Minister for Education, officially opened the new science wing by taking part in an experiment with a year 10 chemistry student and welcomed members of staff including Principal Mr Mark Ridgeway, science students, members of the Kyneton community and supporters of the school including veski.
Kyneton Secondary College is the second school involved with veski's inspiring students (& teachers) program to unveil their upgraded science laboratories. This venture was funded by the Science Laboratory Refurbishment Grant, a Victorian Government Initiative aimed at refurbishing science infrastructure and resources in schools who have not received funding through the Building the Education Revolution program.
The excitement from both students and teachers was evident in the room and the improved facilities will allow students and teachers of the school to take advantage of additional elements of veski's inspiring students (& teachers) program.
